Employer of Choice

At the Plansee Group, we all contribute to something bigger. As part of the Employer of Choice initiative, the Sense of Belonging project aims to ensure that every employee feels valued, connected and part of our story. This page gives you an overview of what is happening, how it influences your daily work and how you can participate.

Why does sense of belonging matter to all of us?

Questions like:

  • What makes me feel proud of my work?
  • What connects me to my colleagues?
  • What gives my job meaning?

shape how we feel when we come to work every day. Strengthening this is not only good for our culture, it improves teamwork, motivation, and wellbeing.

Employer of Choice & Sense of Belonging

Being an Employer of Choice is a strategic goal of the Plansee Group. We want to attract and retain innovative and bright minds & provide our employees the needed resources for personal-/group growth & development to ensure the long-term success for the company.

An attractive employer has many facets like leadership behaviour, work environment, compensation & benefits and many more - we aim to develop all those aspects but we first put the focus on sense of belonging to our company because we strongly believe that we can shape this area together.

How Sense of Belonging will influence our daily work

Over the next months, you will see a mix of local actions at your site and global activities across all locations. These actions will help us:

  • Connect more across teams, sites, countries & continents
  • Foster inclusion and collaboration
  • Celebrate what makes us proud to work at Plansee Group
  • Strengthen our shared identity

Each site will roll out at least two local actions in 2026: these may include events, campaigns, new ways of collaborating, recognition activities or cross‑site initiatives – anything that strengthens inclusivity, local pride, collaboration and shared identity.

Your HR BP will communicate what this means specifically for your site.

In addition to the local actions that will differ depending on the site-specific prerequisites like size, culture, structure etc, we will also roll out 5 global actions during 2026 that bring us closer as one Plansee Group community - across locations, roles, time zones and languages. These actions aim to ensure every employee feels part of something bigger, no matter where they work.

A look behind the scenes: How was the project set up?

Because Sense of Belonging means different things to all of us, colleagues from all continents, roles and business areas worked together as a volunteering group to collect what belonging can mean and how it can be concretely strengthened. They identified three core areas that shape how we experience belonging:

  • Inclusive Workplace – feeling seen, respected and supported
  • e‑Belonging – staying connected digitally across shifts, sites and countries
  • Group Identity – celebrating what unites us as the Plansee Group

This work is the foundation for all upcoming local and global actions.

We are proud to have so many contributors to this project and thank everyone who takes part in defining and implementing the EoC sense of belonging project!

Next steps –  what will happen next

  • Selection & roll-out of local and global actions for FY2026
  • Planning and Adaption of actions to fit needs and circumstances of individual sites
  • Introduction of a feedback tool so employees can share ideas and experiences.

We want to know what you think!

Share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences - your voice really shapes what comes next. As a small thank you, you have the chance to enter into a prize draw with some nice surprises. It only takes a few minutes, but makes a real difference!

Traget Area Vision

1. Inclusive Workplace:

In the Plansee Group we exemplify diversity, equality and inclusion every day. We are a diverse organization across all business areas and management structures. It is shared by all that each employee feels valued and is given opportunities to develop professionally.

2. e-Belonging

Operating globally, the Plansee Group has seen remote work become a vital part of how we connect and collaborate- even more since Covid. Therefore, we believe e-belonging is essential for our employees’ sense of belonging, focusing on inclusion, connection and community that employees, partners and stakeholders feel towards the Plansee Group, our products and innovative solutions.

Internally, our online platforms foster open dialogue, provide virtual learning opportunities and celebrate the unique perspective of all our team members where everyone feels valued, empowered and part within the Plansee Group.

Externally, we aim to create a digital presence of our global community - where employees and stakeholders can showcase their pride,
collaboration and belonging by engaging audiences through inclusive storytelling and have the possibility to broaden their learning and
knowledge through continuous networking.

3. Inclusive Workspace

Like many other industrial metals, tungsten can be recycled as often as desired without compromising material quality.

We, the employees of the Plansee Group, know the organization and its defined values, strategies and cross-divisional goals and are proud to be a part of and a building block for our common success. We constantly aim to build a strong network across our divisions, sites and departments. We celebrate common successes and create shared memories for our common sense of belonging. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and our common Sense of Sustainability strengthens our group identity.

Our common vision is: Our metals drive machines, bring light into our houses, transmit words and pictures across long distances, and do a thousand of other useful and important things.
