In Reutte or Lechbruck (later Japan)

YOUR TASKS:

Begin your career at one of our European sites (Reutte or Lechbruck) and take the next step as an expatriate in Japan. This unique role offers you the chance to bring your expertise from Europe to our Esashi site, shape the future of manufacturing, and implement global standards. • Take overall responsibility for manufacturing and process engineering at our Esashi production site (Plansee Japan).
• Transfer and implement European production concepts in close coordination with the local management team.
• Ensure productivity, delivery performance, and continuous process improvement.
• Plan and monitor Operational Excellence (OpEx) projects and collaborate closely with central process development and R&D.
• Lead and develop your team, build competencies in manufacturing and process engineering, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

YOUR PROFIL:

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automation technology, industrial engineering, or similar – alternatively, extensive relevant experience (approx. 10 years) with additional qualifications.
• Proven leadership experience and deep expertise in manufacturing and process optimization.
• Strong project management skills, ideally with experience in Lean Production / TOC / PDCA.
• IT knowledge and application skills (SAP, MS Windows).
• Fluent business English; Japanese is an asset or willingness to learn Japanese.

In Austria, we are legally obliged to state a minimum wage in every job advertisement. According to the collective wage agreement for the metal industry, this amounts to at least € 30,086 per year for this post.
We are, of course, prepared to remunerate you above this level, depending on your experience and qualifications. The actual salary will be determined in discussion with you.
