€5,500 for the Vinzenzgemeinschaft Reutte
Fundraising Campaign at the Christmas Market
Breitenwang/Reutte, 19.01.2024 – Crispy rolls and melting cheese – around 2,300 raclette rolls were sold by apprentices and trainers of the Plansee Group at last year's Christmas market in Reutte. They donated the entire proceeds of this action to the local Vinzenzgemeinschaft.
A check for €5,500, the net proceeds from sales at the Reutte Christmas market, was handed over to Getrud Köck, chairwoman of the Vinzenzgemeinschaft Region Reutte. The association supports people and families in need in the district. If necessary, it also provides financial assistance – regardless of their origin or denomination.
"I would like to sincerely thank the apprentices of Plansee for their great support with their work," emphasized Getrud Köck. "We are very pleased with this donation, because even in our affluent society, there are many people in need whom we can help with it."
24 Cheese Loaves in Six Days
In the sales hut, a total of 25 apprentices and nine members of the Plansee Group training team took care of feeding the hungry visitors over six days. In total, around 2,300 raclette rolls were sold – 150 kilograms of cheese were used. The Vinzenzgemeinschaft thanked them with a large "Merci" chocolate bar and a certificate for the social commitment of the training center. Representing all the involved apprentices, future metal technicians Luka and Noel Cacic, as well as Anna Bacun, were present at the donation handover.
Joachim Resch, head of training and education at the Plansee Group for the companies Plansee and Ceratizit, explained: "We wanted to implement a social project in the region with the apprentices. This year's Christmas market was a great opportunity because its unique atmosphere with the ice rink was a fantastic attraction in the region. I am very proud of our apprentices who participated with so much dedication and motivation. With the Vinzenzgemeinschaft, we can ensure that the money reaches those in need in the region."
