During your training as a toolmaker, you'll get an introduction to a varied and exciting profession. You'll learn how to make tools and molds that are indispensable in the production process. Your job will include designing, constructing, and making precision components as well as checking and optimizing tools. You enjoy mathematics, have an aptitude for technology, and are good with your hands, all of which help you to develop solutions for specific production requirements. You'll be working with modern CNC machines and will gain valuable knowledge around metal machining, measuring technology, and quality assurance as well as taking care of commissioning, monitoring, and quality assurance for digitalized production systems. Teamwork and communication will also be key in your job, as you'll often be collaborating with other departments. Your training will offer you a variety of challenges and the opportunity to continue expanding your technical skills.
