Responsibilities:

As Head of Production Planning & Logistics, you are part of the management team of Plansee US. Together with your team, you act as the interface between Sales and Production and help ensuring sustainable delivery capability, planning quality, and efficient material flows.

  • Responsible for production planning to support customer service, identifying optimization potential in planning processes, guiding production managers on optimal personnel deployment and preparing contingency plans.

  • Work closely with Sales to collect demand forecasts, manage consignment stock and inventory, and coordinate delivery dates based on available capacity.

  • Develop and improve warehouse and logistics processes such as checking incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling and usage, customer service, and ensuring up-to-date inventory levels.

  • Cooperate with Plansee Group Logistics to further develop and implement logistics strategies, systems, and standards.

  • Collaborate with US customs authorities and freight forwarders to clarify and provide information on import and export matters.

Qualification

  • Completed vocational training or an associate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management. Equivalent professional experience may be accepted in place of a formal degree.

  • At least 5 to 7 years of professional experience in warehousing, production planning, scheduling, and purchasing within a manufacturing company.

  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and employee development, fostering positive and productive working relationships, as well as strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Confident use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MRP systems. Experience with the SAP R/3 logistics module, particularly in production and production planning, is an advantage; CPIM and/or APICS certification is desirable.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, collaborate across functions, manage relationships successfully, and create a positive and inclusive working environment.

The base compensation for this position is between 110-130k annually, commensurate with skill and experience level. This role will also be bonus eligible as part of the Core Leadership Team.
