Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring an Equipment and Process Engineer.  The Equipment and Process Engineer will support manufacturing across the plant with improvement projects that drive new capabilities, higher capacity, faster throughput, less queue time, and lower costs. These projects will utilize strong communication, technical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Capex projects for improvements to manufacturing capabilities and processes.

  • Optimize manufacturing space by reviewing product flow and plant layouts.

  • Develop and implement process improvements to make most efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.

  • Support and lead projects through the entire life cycle from design and prototype through production.

  • Design control systems to minimize costs and prevent production issues.

  • Establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.

  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for production problems and develop re-work instructions as needed.

  • Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other small project technical teams.

  • Manage process documentation, including work instructions, safety documentation, etc.

  • Support the training of manufacturing staff and provide them with work instructions and manuals.

  • Prepare production reports as needed.

  • Participate in and/or lead team members in Health and Safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or 5-years’ experience in manufacturing.

  • High attention to detail and organization.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to solve complex technical problems.

  • Able to manage and complete multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. - Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards. - Preferred

  • Familiar with PLC ladder programming, CAD software, and plant layout. - Preferred

  • Expertise with engineering software. - Preferred

  • Experience in powdered metal manufacturing. – Preferred
