Position type: Non-Exempt

 

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be working in the Quality and Calibration departments of Global Tungsten & Powders LLC (GTP).   Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to quality management system and calibration department support. Responsibilities will also include quality functions such as but not limited to: participating in audits; maintaining document control system; monitoring quality metrics; support quality management systems. The team-oriented work environment has a primary focus on efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and update the quality management system.  Participate in internal and external audits and customer visits as necessary. Asist in maintaining the ISO9001 requirements.
  • Work with GTP departments including production, sales, services and QHSE to meet quality management system needs and expectations under the guidance of the QHSE manager.
  • Support in the creation of quality and calibration related training materials. Support the document control process using systems such as SAP and Q.wiki as needed. Maintain 5S and LEAN practices of assigned areas, instruments, and equipment. Always observe company policies.
  • Complete quality material transfers; quality result transfers (data flips) and quality certificate of analysis as needed. Assist with maintaining calibration systems. This includes but limited to updating calibration files, sending out monthly calibration reports and sending instrumentation out for ISO17025 calibration.
  • Ensure compliance with prescribed safety practices and quality work standards. Direct, train, and instruct employees whenever necessary to effectively complete work assignments. Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel); experience with SAP preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and computer skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident required
