Position type: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The Commercial Manager oversees the three customer facing teams, Customer Service, Quotations, and the Specials/Repairs team.  Responsible to provide an excellent customer experience, create engaged and loyal team members and to facilitate organic growth.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Keep all teams running in an efficient and productive manner. 
  • Take ownership of team issues and following problems through to resolution 
  • Setting clear goals and objectives and deploying strategies focused on completion. 
  • Develop service procedures, policies, and standards. 
  • Keep accurate records and document team actions and discussions. 
  • Analyze statistics and compile accurate reports. 
  • Develop great managers and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment. 
  • Keep ahead of the company’s initiatives and industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement. 
  • Control resources and utilize assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets. 
  • Adhere to and manage the approved budget. 
  • Maintain an orderly workflow according to priorities. 
  • Responsible for the development of the team including appraisals & monitoring training plans in liaison with the HR department. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 10 years or more experience in managing teams and proven work experience in customer service. 
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience with the use of SAP and Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook) 
  • Must have the ability to lead and be detail oriented. 
  • Must be able to work collaboratively, solve problems independently and in groups with a direct approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills with the ability to lead.  
  • Must have a firm sense of urgency and an ability to work productively under time pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Commercially astute and client-driven with strong client-facing skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize, demonstrating first class organizational skills and time management. 
  • Exceptional knowledge of management methods and techniques
