Position Overview: Supply Chain Planner at GTP is responsible for coordinating and scheduling manufacturing activities to ensure that materials are available for production, and products are available for internal and external customers. The Planner will interact with all functions of the supply chain to support company objectives, to provide “best-in-class” customer service and quality, to maximize product throughput and profitability while minimizing inventory and liabilities.
Responsibilities Would Include:
- Create production orders to ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations. Work with purchasing to ensure that raw materials, as well as critical tools and supplies are available as needed. Coordinate the movement of materials to and from subcontracted vendors for processing.
- Collaborate with the shop floor management to optimize resources and resolve issues. Analyze production, sales forecast, and demand in order to provide a commitment to sales orders, and delivery when products are finished.Interact with the Quality department to understand lead times for analysis, off-quality issues, and certification requirements.
- Complete status reports, dispatch lists, and Key Performance Indicators: On-Time Delivery, Schedule Attainment, Inventory Turn around. Participate in a variety of venues to manage the Supply Chain, including: Production meetings, Supply Chain staff meetings, Sales calls, Raw Material purchasing meetings, Senior Management reviews, and daily ad hoc venues.
- Utilize SAP, including MM, PP, PM, and QM modules as well as any interfaced tools. Work with the Manufacturing departments to analyze production processes in order to identify and reduce the impact of bottlenecks in the operation.
- Create and maintain master data for accuracy, including collaboration with engineers to ensure accurate Routes and Bill-of-Materials. Understand the business and Communicate with all functions about any issues that exist. May be asked to perform other duties as required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain (or related field) or equivalent internal company experience
- Demonstrated experience in planning, Logistics or manufacturing. SAP, ERP experience is desirable, Mbyte experience a plus.
- Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft products is required. APICS or equivalent certification would be a plus.
- Aptitude to drive functional resources to achieve desired resultsUse of logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
- Good customer service skills and flexibility to handle a wide array of activities. Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
