Design Engineer- Round Tools

Tasks & Responsibilities

■Design and develop round cutting tools, solid carbide (SC) drills, based on application and customer requirements.
■Create and modify tool designs using specific software such as AutoCAD and Unigraphics
■Select appropriate carbide rods based on tool application, geometry, and cutting conditions.
■Recommend and collaborate on suitable coating solutions to enhance tool performance, tool life, and productivity.
■Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new tool designs.
■Work closely with manufacturing, application engineering, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
■Analyze machining results and continuously improve tool designs based on performance feedback.
■Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, and design records.

Profile & Requirements

■Technical knowledge on solid carbide tools - complete range and Micro tools experience is an added advantage
■Additional experience in Numroto, Tool studio, Toolroom, VG Pro software’s is an added advantage.
■3– 5 years of relevant experience in design and development of round cutting tools.
■Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / production engineering or equivalent.
■Good Communication skills.
■Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas.
