Half a century of regional cultural history
The musical legacy of Hilde and Walter Schwarzkopf attracts hundreds of classical music fans every year. In their anniversary year, the Plansee Concerts will once again entice audiences with a varied programme and present both established classical stars and rising stars of the scene.
Subscriptions for all five concerts are available now until 2 December 2024, with single tickets and mini-subscriptions available from 3 December 2024 at 9 am. Tickets can be purchased online at www.plansee-konzerte.at (payment via PayPal) or in person at the Reutte tourist office. Remaining tickets are available at the box office.
- This year, the Wiltener Sängerknaben will once again ensure an atmospheric start to the concert season. On 20 December 2024, they will present ‘Bach's crowning achievement in church music’: his legendary Mass in B minor. It is not only a special work of music history, but also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The radiant voices of the choirboys are accompanied by the Academia Jacobus Stainer.
- For the New Year's Concert, the Plansee Concerts also reflect on the greats of classical music history: on 3 January 2025, the "Tiroler Symphonieorchester" invites you to an anniversary concert for the ‘Waltz King’ Johann Strauss Sohn and performs the Overture to
- Die Fledermaus and the Champagne Polka, among others.Martin Sieghart, the recognised Strauss expert, conducts and presents ‘Strauss Fever!’ - assisted by Wilfried Scharf on the zither and Andreas Martin Hofmeir on the tuba.
- Whether four-handed on one piano or alone on two pianos:On 6 May 2025, Arthur & Lucas Jussen will put all their musical passion into the keys.‘Four hands, two brothers and musical magic’ presents them as masterful magicians on the piano and formidablestorytellers. They conquered the classical music world from the Netherlands with charm and charisma and fill the Walter-Schwarzkopf-Saal with energetic melodies as a duo on the piano.
- On 22 September 2025, the concert series will follow international sound paths. The four musicians of Quadro Nuevo from Upper Bavaria have world music in their blood. On their travels around the globe, they collect melodies that they weave into new and unique ‘pictures’. They have been doing this successfully for over 30 years. ‘World music with esprit and wit’ is also the motto in Reutte this autumn - with fascinating arrangements of well-known works and funky original compositions.
- The curtain has already risen for them several times in the Walter Schwarzkopf Hall - after all, they can look back on a history almost as long as the Plansee concerts themselves. On 12 November, the Interpreti Veneziani will once again be making a guest appearance in Reutte. They have the familiar works of Antonio Vivaldi in their suitcase, which they will bring to the stage in their usual dynamic and captivating manner.Another ‘old’ master to bring the 2025 season to a brilliant close.
