Successful Apprenticeship Years Graduation Ceremony 2024

On May 7, it was that time again.

On May 7, it was that time again: the newly qualified professionals from Plansee and Ceratizit, along with their trainers and guests, gathered for the annual graduation ceremony at the training center on the company premises in Reutte.

From 2020 to 2024, a total of 26 apprentices completed their vocational training at Plansee and Ceratizit, with three apprentices set to take their final exams in the summer and fall. Joachim Resch, Head of Vocational Training and Continuing Education at the Plansee Group, was very pleased with the good performance of the apprentices from Plansee and Ceratizit, who had started their training in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, this was the first cohort to begin their training in the newly constructed training center. The female quota of this cohort was 38 percent – compared to the Tyrol-wide average of around 12 percent in comparable professions, a sign that technical training professions at the Plansee Group are increasingly attracting girls. This year's results were impressive: nine of the former apprentices passed the exam with good success, and one chemical laboratory technician with distinction.

With Curiosity & Commitment
Stefan Schlichtherle, Head of the company's vocational school, congratulated his protégés and was pleased with their consistent willingness to learn and curiosity about the subject matter, which led them to success. "We are pleased that you will now support the company's success as young professionals," emphasized Ulrich Lausecker, a member of the Plansee Group's Executive Board, in his speech, "and we hope that you all experience many anniversary celebrations with us." Simon Jost, Managing Director of Ceratizit Austria, encouraged the now former apprentices to continue contributing their ideas and participating. The Chairman of the Workers' Council, Helmut Lorenz, congratulated the new skilled workers on their training success and wished them all the best for the future. The respect of all the speakers was not only for the apprentices but also for the dedicated team of trainers and teachers. In addition to the training certificate, the graduates received a special gift from the company: a digital caliper with a personal dedication engraved.

Joachim Resch and the entire team of the training center and vocational school would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the graduation ceremony – especially the head of gastronomy, Alexander Thurner, and his team for the excellent catering.
