With Colleagues and Family on Two Wheels through the Außerfern
Family Cycling Day to Celebrate the Anniversary of Plansee Group's Company Sports
Breitenwang/Reutte, 06.06.2024 – How better to celebrate the 50th anniversary of company sports than with a joint sporting activity? On May 25th, the Plansee Group put this idea into practice and invited employees and their closest family members to a family cycling day with a subsequent program of activities.
On the last weekend of May, more than 300 bicycles rolled through the Außerfern with Plansee Group employees. Depending on their preferences and passion, participants could choose from six different routes: whether mountain biking through the pre-Alpine landscape, racing on a road bike (led by Olympic champion Franziska Brauße from the Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling Team), or with the kids on one of three family routes including an adventure program at Lake Rieden.
After the joint ride, a colorful program of activities in the Hahnenkammhalle invited everyone to a communal conclusion: from barbecue and catering by the Höfen Music Band to lively live music, a raffle, and a bike check by Radhaus Lechaschau, to attractions for the little ones like a bouncy castle and face painting.
Company Sports as a Defining Force at the Location
The occasion for the event was the 50th anniversary of Plansee Group's company sports in Reutte/Breitenwang, which is being celebrated this year with various activities. The many volunteers of the company sports organize regular courses such as tennis, ball sports, or fitness, hold competitions and tournaments, or offer discounted sportswear. Company sports have always been supported by the board and works council.
"To be able to give our best every day and advance our company in the global market, an active balance is important. The diverse offerings of company sports have shaped the community at the location for 50 years and strengthen team spirit and ambition," emphasizes Karlheinz Wex, CEO of Plansee Group. He also did not miss the opportunity to get in the saddle on family cycling day and explore the region around the plant together with colleagues.
