Position type: Non-ExemptMi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team, ensuring reliable equipment performance, and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental programs for the facility. This role manages daily maintenance activities, assigns work, evaluates performance, and ensures all maintenance and HSE tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. The Maintenance Supervisor adjusts staffing based on workload, supports continuous improvement, and serves as the primary point of contact for all HSE-related matters.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department and ensure appropriate prioritization of work.
Evaluate facility equipment and infrastructure to determine maintenance needs and schedule required repairs.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and schedules.
Ensure maintenance and repair work is performed safely, accurately, and within expected timeframes.
Review project requirements and coordinate the ordering of parts, materials, and supplies needed for scheduled work and potential equipment breakdowns.
Support equipment purchasing decisions by evaluating condition, cost, expected lifespan, and the risk of future repairs or downtime.
Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff; conduct performance evaluations and manage disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
Assess maintenance staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage based on workload, planned projects, and operational needs.
Lead all health, safety, and environmental programs for the facility, including OSHA compliance, safe work practices, hazard identification, training, inspections, and environmental reporting.
Promote and enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Five years as Maintenance supervisor or comparable leadership role
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC certification
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification
Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
Working knowledge of PLCs and basic programming logic.
Strong understanding of OSHA standards including hazardous materials, electrical safety, fall protection, and lockout/tagout requirements.
Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices, with the ability to lead all facility HSE programs.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs is a plus.
