Position Overview: This position is responsible for the installation and repair of infrastructure and facilities at the GTP Towanda campus. Installation of infrastructure components for capital installations.
Responsibilities Would Include:
- Work in a team environment with plant engineering, maintenance and department personnel. Supervise and effect overall maintenance and repair of all buildings, grounds, roadways (winter maintenance included), landscaping and underground piping infrastructure (city water, storm water, sanitary sewer and fire protection), roofs, painting and floor coatings for a 72-acre chemical manufacturing site with over 35 buildings by utilizing internal resources or outside contractors.
- Serve as key talent on all civil infrastructure projects(team based as well as independent launches) including: new building construction, building additions and renovations, manufacturing and office space refurbishments and all other civil improvement projects through the use of current industry standard project management practices (regular project meetings and reports, scope definition, cost estimating, detail engineering and design packages, bid documents and contractor awards, day-to-day construction site management, AP invoicing, cost control and scheduling milestones).
- Attend plant engineering project and safety meetings. Facility maintenance and capital improvement Design. Effectively communicate infrastructure and facility information to the design staff. Provide technical assistance to the maintenance, manufacturing, and plant services departments to assist in repair and maintenance of facilities.
- Primary contact for all civil contractors on site (concrete, roofing, carpentry, underground plumbing, commercial plumbing, overhead doors, automatic door systems, painting, landscaping, and snow removal). Have knowledge of OSHA, local building codes and other applicable industry standards. Responsibility for obtaining all permits required by 3 different municipalities and a regional county planning commission.
- Project Management of Moderately-sized Capital infrastructure projects. Project Estimating and Budgeting. Solicit and evaluate product and service quotations from various vendors. Interface with and direct contracted vendors during equipment and process installations.
- Participate in GTP environmental and safety activities to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace. Supervise a full-service lift truck garage mechanic with responsibility for over 200 pieces of rolling stock. Responsible for coordinating, accounting for and maintaining on-site liquid fuel deliveries. (gas and diesel fuel).Responsible for monitoring PM (preventative maintenance) programs for storm and sanitary sewer systems, roof drain systems, lawn/landscaping care and snow removal. Fiscally accountable to senior management for development, prioritization, and spending implementation of an occupancy budget.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management or equivalent industry experience.
- 3-5 years of industrial experience preferred
- Knowledge of various Industrial and Electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, etc.
- Should possess strong skills in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, SAP, SAP PM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
